Some friends of ours released a video several weeks ago called “Why I hate Religion but Love Jesus” we all sat in amazement as it reached 15 million views in a week. It’s created an amazing public discussion about issues of theology, faith, hypocrisy, legalism, self righteousness and well… Jesus and religion.

It’s also been wild to see Jeff become a YouTube star virtually overnight and how he’s done an amazing job stewarding his platform in humility. Who he is outside of the video has been more inspirational then the actual video to us. His humble response to critics has been extremely convicting and challenging to me personally.

Seeing how our faith has become a target for some is interesting as well.

I think it’s pretty incredible that in 2012 we get to discuss topics millions of people over thousand of years have wrestled with. I’m honestly inspired and excited about the era we get to live in. This wasn’t possible 10 years ago or even 5 years ago.

It’s amazing the place culture is in. With all the discussion of faith, the social & religious climate is shifting, even the fame of unashamed christian athletes like Tebow and Jeremy Lin seems like something really cool is brewing.
